SENIORS & SPECIAL NEEDS DOGS FOR ADOPTION

Kayla is a sweet 8-year-old girl with a white face and red hair. She is friendly, playful and gets along well with other dogs and people, Kayla has good manners and loves attention. Kayla was turned into the SPCA to be euthanized because of a hematoma on her ear flap. Her prior family could not afford to have it removed. The SPCA turned her over to GRROWLS who had her spayed and surgically removed the hematoma; all is well! Kayla loves to go for rides in the car and walks in the neighborhood. Kayla is working on walking nicely on leash, and she is a quick study. Kayla is looking for a home that can continue to work with her and give her the love and affection she so deserves. If you believe you can provide the right home for Kayla, please send in an application or write to adoptions@grrowls.org.

Seven year old KOBY is one smart guy and oh so sweet. He wants nothing more than to be loved and is content to just be with you. Koby likes to go for short walks with you and search for tennis balls in the neighborhood. Because Koby will jump up and try to get any type of ball from your hand, we won't put Koby in a home with young children. Koby is currently on a diet and has lost 15 lbs. He still needs to lose more weight in order to help with his mild arthritis. Koby has a history of ear infections due to allergies which seem to be managed using a hypo-allergic dog food. You should plan on keeping a vigil eye on Koby’s ears if you adopt this sweet guy. Koby does not need a fenced yard as he would much rather be with you than go exploring. He has that true golden personally – a total love bug! If you think you could provide KOBY his forever home and would like to meet him, please contact adoptions@grrowls.org

JJ is a small, handsome four year old male golden who is always happy to see you. He has a sweet personality and loves to be loved. He also gets along very well with other dogs and cats, and is well mannered. JJ was given up by his family because he is afraid of thunder. JJ needs a family who is ready, willing, and able to deal with his thunder anxiety and who are willing to provide him with doggy day care and/or be with him throughout the storm season—He needs a family who won’t give up on him.

UPDATE - JJ has been adopted to his forever home. Thank you to his new parents for adopting this wonderful and sweet boy.

Three year old Kiera lost her front paw as a puppy. Her mom accidentally chewed it off. That still didn't keep her original owner from letting her have 3 litters of puppies in her short life.

She is a very sweet girl who loves everyone. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and listens well to her foster mom. She is housetrained and has good manners. Her foster mom reports that when Kiera gets excited and happy she "talks" by making her mouth into a round "O" and wiggling her whole body. She needs someone to love her and keep her at a healthy weight. She is spayed and up to date on her shots.

UPDATE - Kiera has been adopted to her forever home. Thank you to her new parents for adopting this wonderful and sweet girl.
