'Tis the season to give thanks and gratitude, and I am finally taking a few minutes to express my deepest appreciation to you.  I adopted Abby in December 2001. Both Abby and I are wonderfully happy... you can't possibly imagine!

Often, I  think of the generosity and selflessness that enabled the hearts of Abby's former owners to relinquish her to GRROWLS for safe placement. I met Abby on December 4, 2001, which happened to be her fourth birthday. When we met it was 'kismet".Abby hugged me at our first meeting at the side door entrance of her foster mom Alicia's home in Buffalo NY. Alicia later mentioned that it was Abby's hug which confirmed for her that we were destined to be together. She was so right!

Abby is the greatest source of joy in my life.  Words cannot capture her sweet nature, patience, and endless giving. She enjoys napping with her stuffed "babies". They are like her pacifiers.  There is always a baby near by, or a tennis ball! Yeah, big surprise! Abby has every stuffed "baby" she has ever received, as they are worn only by the washing machine.

She is truly "all Golden" and loves to go on long walks in the neighborhood or in parks with other dog friends. Her favorite thing to do (yes, this even tops eating)... is to be in the park retrieving tennis balls. She loves her balls and you can usually find her sleeping with one of them next to her face.

We have a park across the street from our house that we visit daily. We "play date" in a state park a few miles from us most every Saturday with two other Golden's; Frasier and Niles. Irondiquoit Creek runs through the park where Abby and many other dogs swim and play ... she loves H20. She loves water so much,  that she will sit in puddles after a rain storm!

Thank you so much for all the great work you do and the happiness you create in people and doggie lives.
